- Is there any strict dietary restriction while taking Ayurvedic treatment?
We do not restrict you from taking right kind of food. We only guide you for choosing right food at the right time in the right way. These suggestions for diet are only from the perspective of avoiding any causative factors related to your ailment.
- For how many days medicines are to be taken?
The duration of treatment varies as per the conditions you are taking treatment for. Generally, the treatment schedule is continued until the symptoms subside and desired changes are observed in your test reports.
In case of ‘Supraja’ (good progeny) the treatment is scheduled for three months before you start trying to get pregnant.
Ante natal care is planned throughout the term of your pregnancy.
Post-natal care is generally planned for three months after the delivery of your baby and sometimes a little longer as per need.
- Is there any adverse effect of Ayurvedic medicines, especially when I’m taking it in my Antenatal period?
The medicines used in Ayurved are mostly prepared from medicinal plants and Minerals. Very few medicines are prepared from aquatic origin and animal origin. Processes involved in preparation of Ayurvedic formulations consist of stringent steps which make the medicines completely safe and at the same time highly efficacious. We have our separate manufacturing unit for medicines. It is a GMP certified facility with schedule T license for manufacturing of drugs. Hence we are very confident of these medicines as we are very vigilant of its quality control. We have treated thousands of patients including ANC patients with our medicines and none of our patients has had any adverse drug reaction and this has been validated by laboratory investigations and other test reports as well.
- What is the action of Rasayana medicines?
Rasayanas are highly potent herbomineral preparations acting on minute levels in your body and mind, thus enhancing the functioning at both levels.
- Is Panchakarma facility available at Dyumna women’s clinic?
Yes. The Panchakarma facility available at Dyumna Women’s clinic provides access to procedures like Abhyanga, Swedan,Basti, Virechan, Nasya, Shirodhara by skilful therapists under the guidance of experienced doctors.
Female specific specialised procedures such as Uttarbasti, Yonidhavan and Yonipichu are also performed by our doctors. Utmost care is taken to maintain the hygiene under sterile conditions.
- All our reports are normal;Still Why am I not getting pregnant?
Getting pregnant is a result of merging of sperm and ovum to form a new life. The process is more complex than it seems though. Many factors work together like backstage artists to make this miracle happen. Some of the important factors amongst them are health of sperm and ovum, healthy conditions of fallopian tube and uterus, overall health of both partners and the correct fertile window. - How do I know about my fertile days?
Your ovary releases an egg on about 14th day of your menstrual cycle when you are having regular menstrual cycles of about 28-30 days. This period when you can get pregnant if a sperm meets the egg is known as the fertile period. To know more, please refer to our article ‘Know Your Fertility Window’.
- What is PCOS?
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a condition which can cause various changes in your metabolism with symptoms such as irregular menses, weight gain, fatigue, unwanted hair growth. To know more please refer to our articles from ‘PCOS.’
- I have delayed periods since 3-4 months. What does it mean?
Generally a regular menstrual cycle comprises of 28-30 days. In such a cycle your ovary releases an egg on around 14th day and you get your periods about two weeks after this release of egg which is known as ovulation. If your periods are getting delayed its most probable cause is something is wrong with your ovulation pattern. Different conditions like PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, some other medical conditions, improper lifestyle can be responsible for the same. It is important to seek medical guidance to get proper help.
- Does PCOS affect fertility?

- Are there any solutions for Fallopian tube blockage in Ayurveda?

- How should I prevent recurrent abortions?

- After conceiving naturally, do I need Antenatal care?

- Is help for Menopause possible?
Menopause is a natural phase in your life cycle causing several changes in your metabolism leading to different kinds of physical and mental symptoms. At times these symptoms can be extremely severe so as to make your life miserable. Rest assured! This phase can be made much easier. - How do I know that I am in my menopausal phase?
Average age of menopause is around 50 years. There are many physical, physiological and psychological changes that appear in menopausal phase. If you are in this age group and have amenorrhoea that is no periods for more than 6-8 months or having irregular periods and symptoms like hot flashes, various urinary problems, disturbed sleep, weight gain etc. then it can be an indication that you are nearing menopause. - Is prevention of Cancer possible?
Extensive research indicates genetic mutation that is change in normal genes is the basic cause in all cancer types. According to cell biologists, it is not only the genes that are responsible for behaviour of a cell, but the environment of a cell decides as to how a cell will be responding to its genetic code as well! Therefore, maintaining a correct environment at cellular level, developing robust immunity can be strong tools to prevent cancer. - Is white discharge worrisome?

- What care should I take of myself after the birth of my baby?
Your health should be well taken care of after the delivery of your baby so as to avoid any short term or long term complications as well as to regain your health completely. - How to improve breast milk supply?
Certain changes in your diet like introduction of cumin seeds, fennel seeds, adequate amount of milk can help to improve the supply of breast milk. If these remedies do not help you can be needing medicines.
- How can I lose weight after delivery of my baby?
You tend to gain some extra kilograms during your pregnancy. It is very important to regain your complete health after the delivery of your baby, losing extra kilograms of weight being just a part of it. To know more please refer to our article ‘Postnatal care’.
- Does Ayurved help for hair fall after delivery?
Yes! In this phase of life, nutritional demand of your body is much more, especially the calcium levels. The inadequacy of nutrients in the diet may lead to hair fall.
